Terms and Conditions

The rules for using Nagrik's free educational games and plain-language Indian law learning guides.

Effective and last updated: 24 July 2026
THE SHORT VERSION

Use Nagrik freely for lawful learning. Treat every score as a game reward, every legal explanation as education rather than professional advice, and every real-world problem as something that may require an official source or qualified help.

01

Agreement to these terms

These terms apply when you visit or use nagrik.fun. By continuing to use the site, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. These terms do not take away rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

02

What Nagrik provides

Nagrik is a free educational website containing games, scenarios, quizzes, and plain-language learning guides about Indian laws, constitutional rights, civic sense, cleanliness, safety, and public etiquette. Public learners do not need to register or create an account.

Game scores, experience points, levels, streaks, city statistics, and similar rewards exist only for learning and entertainment. They have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, transferred, redeemed, or exchanged, and do not create any property or contractual right.

03

Educational content, not legal advice

Nagrik explains legal and civic ideas for general education. It is not a law firm, lawyer, government authority, emergency service, or substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Using the site does not create a lawyer-client, fiduciary, teacher-student, or other professional relationship.

Laws, rules, court decisions, government procedures, and local requirements can change and may depend on facts not represented in a game. Verify current text through the official sources linked in the law library and obtain qualified advice for an actual legal problem. Contact emergency services when immediate safety is at risk.

04

Children and supervision

The site is intended for children as well as adult learners. A parent, guardian, or teacher should help younger children understand that game scenarios simplify real situations and should supervise their use of external websites. Learners must not share personal or sensitive information merely because a scenario discusses one.

05

Acceptable use

You may use Nagrik for lawful personal, family, or classroom learning. You must not:

  • interfere with the site, overload it, introduce malware, or exploit a vulnerability;
  • attempt to bypass the protected administration area or access systems without permission;
  • use automated requests at a rate that disrupts service for others;
  • misrepresent Nagrik's educational summaries as official government or professional advice;
  • use the service to harass, harm, deceive, or violate another person's rights; or
  • copy or redistribute protected material in a way not permitted by law or an applicable licence.
06

Content and intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, Nagrik's original interface, game design, artwork, explanatory copy, and compilation are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Viewing the public source repository does not by itself grant a licence beyond one expressly included with the relevant material.

Government Acts, judgments, notifications, official publications, third-party marks, and linked materials remain subject to their own legal status and terms. References to them do not imply endorsement of Nagrik by any government authority or third party.

07

External links and services

Nagrik links to official legal sources and other third-party services for verification and measurement. We do not control their availability, content, security, or policies. A link is provided for convenience and source transparency, not as a warranty or endorsement.

08

Availability and warranties

The service is provided free of charge on an "as available" basis. We work to keep it accurate, safe, and playable, but do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, preservation of browser-local progress, or that every summary will remain current at all times.

To the extent permitted by law, no implied warranty is made regarding fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or results obtained from relying on the educational content. Nothing here excludes a warranty or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

09

Responsibility and limitation of liability

You remain responsible for decisions made in real situations. To the extent permitted by law, Nagrik and its contributors are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on this free educational service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

10

Indian law, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any court, tribunal, or authority with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear a dispute. Mandatory consumer protections and other non-waivable rights continue to apply.

We may change the service or these terms to improve the app, respond to security needs, or reflect legal and operational changes. Updated terms will appear here with a revised effective date. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
